I created this Blog to allow a place for formal communication between Leaders, Girls, Parents and Community.

THANK YOU KAMPERSVILLE!
Thanks to the Kampersville store for agreeing to be our unofficial sponser! We received permission from the store to put up flyers about our events, leave order forms at the counter and hold some fundraisers there!
Recap of 10/06 Meeting at the Library
Well, we were all soaked and cold and I think that's pretty much what we'll all remember !! LOL We were able to weed out the top bed, get the Hosta's and some Irises in the ground and mulch for the finishing touches. However, there IS more work to be done! I PROMISE that if it's supposed to rain, we'll stay at the school :).
At the next meeting we'll discuss a dance that we were invited to, eat some REM (ready to eats meals) donated from the Army and Navy supply store in Rutland. Hopefully, we'll have our bottle/can bins to paint and we will look at and discuss some native rocks.

Looking good for Oct 6th
Thank you to Rebecca and Jake Holmes for donating the Perennials that we needed for the Library Outreach Project!!! We now have some Hosta and Iris' to plant. I am still looking for Catnip and/or Hyacinth. If you have some, I will come get it :) Permission slips for the Bus Ride to the Library MUST be to Donna BY WED OCT 6 and I will get those to the Girls' this week. If the girls' could bring some Gardening tools, that would be a great big help.

Troop News from 9/22 Meeting
We welcomed Tammy Coburn as an Adult Volunteer for the Junior Troop. Also, there is a parade coming up for the 250th Anniversary of Salisbury. We plan to be in the Parade and are ordering our sashes, hopefully next week.
We have some Patch ideas and will incorporate them into the activities I already have planned.

Hands- Off Fundraising
The Selectboard recently made changes to allow for donations of bottles and cans at the Salisbury Landfill!! Tell your parents, neighbors and friends that they can help support the local Troop by just saving their bottles and cans and placing them at the Landfill for Girl Scout pickup!
Community Outreach Projects
The recently repainted Community Library needs some landscaping attention. I have been working with local businesses to get donations for materials. We have plenty of mulch and soil. Looking now for plants, containers and lumbar. Please let me know if you have time or materials to donate.
